New York, NY –This week’s EyeWash promises to be an exceptional event! The return of some old pros and some new surprises!

The evening will feature performances in live mix video by:
HOLLY DAGGERS Fresh from her six week tour across the US with Busta Rhymes and Miri Bin Ari, Holly returns home to bless us with her mix, impart tour stories, and report on the road worthiness of the highly beer resistent EDIROL CG-8. Oh, and for those who haven’t seen it, she has moved up to number 15 on DJ Mag’s (UK) Top 20 VJ list!

FEEDBUCK
Those of you in the know know that Buck and Missy of Feedbuck Galore are mainstays in the the New York visual scene. Bridging the gap between the old school and the new school, FBG has been churning out visuals and light installations in the city for well over a decade. This night, Buck is flying solo. Maybe he’ll play some samples from his million-frame-movie, maybe he’ll mix and mash it up with his good friend Raphael (see below), but one thing is for sure, it will be an excitement for you eyes.

RAPHAEL DI LUZIO
Raphael makes the pilgrimage from Maine where he is Associate Professor of New Media at the University of Maine. Up there in the beautiful country he is actually trying to develop a program for visualization (not the meditative, but the VJ kind!). Now I won’t let the cat out of the bag just yet, but rumor has it he is bring in a new piece of equipment that us hardware folks have been dying to get our hands on. I’ll give you a hint: the initials of the manufacturer are K O R G. Hmmmmm….what can that be?

VJ LOOPUS
Not to be outdone by these old timers, VJ Loopus is here to represent for
those who come from the designer school of VJ. Expect some quick cuts of 3D footage, duo tone city scapes and situations, and a cool calculated since of rhythm.

EyeWash events feature free live-mix video performances by VJs and Video
Artists who manipulate video in real time. The EyeWash series is a relaxed and social atmosphere where you can enjoy live-mixed video, meet VJs and video artists, and see the latest in live video performance and collaborations in mixed media.

EyeWash is presented by Forward Motion Theater, Inc. a 501(c)3 non-profit
organization since 2001, and is made possible with public funds from the New York State Council on the Arts, a State agency.
