about the artists:

FeedBuck‘s appearances at EyeWash are always a treat. His tenure as a maestro of media-mix far exceeds the achievements of mere VJ mortals. He is a foundation of the scene.

David Lintonpresents the bicameral research sound and projection system in a world premiere for EyeWash. His work “GUI.tar-tan” is a droning ebowed guitar feeding RGB analog video which in turn is fedback as audio. The result is four walls of undulating AV feedback fabric in realtime.

Synthesthete hails from LA, but his more recent exploits have landed him in Istanbul where he has been part of a four man collective artificialeyes.tv with an aim to bring people closer to the art form of Live Video Mixing through the creation, performance, and distribution of unique and engaging audio-visual interpretations of contemporary culture.

Vanessa Ramos-Velasquez + Ray Velasquez are taking a break from their PopLife video series to collaborate in a live video/dance/soundscape interaction “Untitled #1″. Featuring dancers whose movement and form are abstracted to various degrees to create a projected misc-èn-scene of real-time performance. A 3-way conversation among media and senses in space and time.

Veteran EyeWash choreographer Rebekah Kennedy of Urban Wash Dance, James Graber of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, and yours truly Eric Dunlap join in for Velasquez’s set.

EyeWash is an event where VJs and Video artists perform live-mix video, present audio visual performances in collaboration with Audio artists, workshop performance involving video and technology.
