about the artists:

From a very young age, Randy Esulto knew two things for certain. He loved music, and he loved to entertain. 13 years later as VJ 20/15 he gets to indulge in both.

Brad Swindell brings the mash-up concept to live video mixing. TV, movies and found footage are looped and scratched real-time to music, and the next thing you know Celebrity Boxing is playing to Radiohead and Bollywood clips are jumping to Basement Jaxx beats. For a sample of the swindleVision show, check out his website, or better yet check it out live at Monkeytown.

Zarah Cabañas (Lady Firefly) works with video to create visual songs. Zarah’s video compositions and explorative films have been exhibited throughout New York City and abroad. Her live VJ performances with various music groups and as soloist have been shared in venues throughout New York City including Mercury Lounge, Tonic, SubTonic Lounge, The Knitting Factory, Issue Project Room, Galapagos Art Space, Share, and Nublu. Born in the Philippines, Zarah was raised in Silver Spring, MD. With a saxophone, a video camera, and beautiful trees always at hand. She received her BFA in Filmmaking from New York University: Tisch School of the Arts where she was given a Wasserman Finalist award in Best Direction for her experimental film “City Poems: Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo? at the First Run Festival. Currently she works closely with musician Tonearm creating song-specific visuals and as a collaborative video artist of Habitats, a four day cultural festival organized by Eidolon Culture.

Blackmoth aka Kari Altmann is a digital multimedia artist from Texas, currently attending MICA in Baltimore as a video major. Her work has been featured in places like Beautiful Decay, Ruby Mag, AMODA in Austin, and various websites. Video and animation are her newest arenas to experiment with and this is one of her first and freshest vj gigs. Kilowatts continues to create dynamic and unpredictable moods with his music. Currently living in Philadelphia, he’s played at events such as the Gaian Mind Festival and the long-running Hologram. He is a resident at the annual electronic festival Lab30 in Germany, and performed at 2005′s Geologic Festival, held in Illinois by Psymbolic & Chilluminati. He has released music on Distinct’ive Breaks, Mixmag Live, Diffusion Records and Artificial Music Machine among others. He’s generally known for his complex rhythmic audio editing, sliced and diced to all hell, married to wistful melodic structure and vaporous soundscapes. Recently he has completed his 4th album, “Routes”, among numerous singles and remixes.
