JOSHUA GOLDBERG, that MAX/Jitter maverick, has returned from Miami’s Winter Music Conference with that mad-scientist look in his eyes. I’m not sure if he’s re-inventing his tools or re-tooling his inventions but if Apple isn’t careful he’ll hack the heart of a powerbook for his Quixotic schemes! (he told me not to tell you that….) When you’re as respected as Goldberg they call you eccentric, not crazy. This week he collaborates with experimental musician/composer Todd Polenberg who goes by the name Habitrail.

LES TECHNOCRATES are Nadia Duguay and Pascal Coté, the glam power duo from Montreal’s Robo/Tek and Eraproject events have come south-of-the-border to share their stylish and colorful visuals with the turntable skills of Physical Noise Theater. They’ve collaborated before at Technocrates’ regular loungepad Societe des Arts Technologiques (when are WE gonna get one of those?).

When CHRIS JORDAN says he is working on something new, I take notice. His interest in time led to co-curating the T-Minus Festival early this year (with Joshua Goldberg), and his experiments in 3D produced amazing video of abstracted realism. Visual Jockey Jedi CJ, modest as he is, is one of the most resourceful visualists around.

VJ-ing has been compared to jazz music and beat poetry…, but sketch comedy?! Actor, shooter and video artist, DAN WINCKLER may have found the solution for merging his improv talents with his video art: Vlogging…, vblogging…, video weblogging… (who gets to name these hot new trends anyway?). http://gunshowimprov.com
