about the artists:

Berkoy has created original, video light shows for NYC art-rock band Other Passengers since 2005. This evening’s piece, “Delusional,” marks a sharp departure from their usual collaboration, a light show projected on top of the band in response to set music. Instead, tonight, Other Passengers will improvise the soundtrack to a visual journey of shifting stations and creeping creatures, reacting to all that unfolds.

Jeremy D. Slater is a video and recording artist who works with sound and video in performance and installation settings. Using his laptop computer, he creates a variety of sound, image, and interactive work. Red Chair is his collaboration with Patrick Todd, a sound artist who works primarily with electronic noises to create compositions that border the familiar worlds of ambient atmospheric music and specific events more akin to Foley artists. These two also organize Flow, an event that explores the noisier elements in sound.

VisualHornHonking performs in a set with long-time friend and collaborator DJ ActivePhaze. Fresh from the latest Toshi’s Swedish Party, VHH is happy to reunite with ActivePhaze. Since their last set together at EyeWash *Art Dialogues*, this power duo has been playing events at Le Souk, Sullivan Room, and many others. Adam Kendall, performer, curator, and organizer of events {R}ake (with Vortex) and vBrooklyn, returns to EyeWash with Bradford Reed in an elegant of video and audio. Kendall’s unmistakable visual style is enhanced by the percussive voices of Reed’s Pencilina, a one of a kind instrument he invented and mastered. Special Note: vBrooklyn is currently accepting submissions. Visit the festival’s website for information.

EyeWash is an event where VJs and Video artists perform live-mix video, present audio visual performances in collaboration with Audio artists, workshop performance involving video and technology.
