The workshop is both physical and technical. We will use elements of the Nikolais/Louis Technique for Dance to train the body and introduce improvisation. Kim and I were both members of the company and teach the technique at the university and professional level.

As we move into interaction, we will focus on working with the media to improvise and create a dialogue between the performer and media. I am planning two or three different types, feedback, abstraction, and time sampling for us to work with. The interactively are camera based and we will use hardware (video mixer, effects box) and software (modul8).
